Reflexology is a non-invasive, holistic complementary therapy based on the theory that different parts of the feet, lower legs, hands and ears correspond with different parts of the body. The reflexologist will work these points to rebalance the body and help to promote better health. Reflexology does not replace conventional medicine but may be used alongside it to help the body begin its own healing process.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages. Reflexologists are holistic therapists and as such, are unable to diagnose or to claim to be able to cure conditions, however, often clients feeling stressed find that the relaxing effects of reflexology help to relieve tension, improve mood and improves a sense of well-being. Some people report it relaxes them, and helps them to sleep better.

Prior to your first appointment, a consultation form, including your medical history and lifestyle questions, will be completed. You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks, then relax while I apply pressure to the points on your feet, using my fingers and thumbs, as part of a full investigatory session. You should allow slightly longer for your first session. Following your first session I will create a bespoke treatment plan for your subsequent sessions, adapting it where necessary each time.
I began my journey into complementary therapies about 12 years ago, when I began training in Swedish massage, as a hobby at first. I then studied Sports Massage before venturing into something that had always fascinated me, reflexology. I soon found that reflexology was what I wanted to do most, as I saw for myself the benefits it had and the way my clients felt after treatment. In 2018 I took the plunge, joining the Therapy Hut as a massage therapist and reflexologist. My passion for reflexology has grown over the years of treating my regular clients, and I have expanded my knowledge in specialist subjects including fertility and maternity reflexology, adapting treatment for cancer and palliative care and NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody (NEPIP) which is a specialist treatment that can be effective in helping people suffering with stress and anxiety. I am qualified to the highest level in practitioner reflexology, Centralia Reflexology Mastership Level 5, as well as being a massage therapist qualified up to VTCT level 4. I am a registered member of the Association of Reflexology.

Hand Reflexology is a shorter treatment to the feet and although it is just as relaxing and effective. Why not treat those hard working hands?
Auricular (Ear) Reflexology is a shorter treatment, and may include the placement of ear seeds to enable you to work the points several times a day.
